Fast Track Instructor Scheme - Land Based Activities in Climbing & Walking

This programme is suitable for:
Those with a genuine interest in lead
ing others and wishing to gain entry point qualifications and further experience in climbing & walking, such as youth workers, teachers, gap year students, voluntary leaders and individuals looking to gain further experience or an insight in to the outdoor industry.
A 20 day continuous programme delivered in and around Snowdonia National Park leading to nationally recognised awards in:

Climbing
*      NICAS Personal Climbing Skills at Level 1
*      NICAS Personal Climbing Skills at Level 2
*      Climbing Wall Award Training Course

Walking
*      NNAS Personal Navigation Skills Training & Assessment at Bronze Level
*      NNAS Personal Navigation Skills Training & Assessment at Silver Level
*      Level 3 Award in Basic Expedition Leaders (BEL) Training
*      Level 3 Award in Basic Expedition Leaders (BEL) Assessment

First Aid
*      Level 2 Qualification in Activity First Aid
*      Level 2 Award in Emergency CPR & AED

Course fee of £1600 per person includes the following:
*       Training from qualified and experienced staff
*      Cost of all entry fees
*      Registration of all NGB Qualifications
*      One years membership of the BMC & MLTA
*      Logbooks/Certificates
*      CRB Check
*      Self-Catering Accommodation including meals
A total of 160 hours contact time is given to this course and we operate on a ratio of 1:6 maximum, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to develop through the programme.
Participants must be aged 17 years + to join the course and must be aged 18 years + to undertake their BEL assessment, this can be undertaken at a later date at no additional cost.
