Fast Track Instructor Scheme - Land Based Activities in Climbing & Walking
This programme is suitable for:
Those with a genuine interest in leading others and wishing to gain entry point qualifications and further experience in climbing & walking, such as youth workers, teachers, gap year students, voluntary leaders and individuals looking to gain further experience or an insight in to the outdoor industry.
A 20 day continuous programme delivered in and around Snowdonia National Park leading to nationally recognised awards in:
Climbing
NICAS Personal Climbing Skills at Level 1
NICAS Personal Climbing Skills at Level 2
Climbing Wall Award Training Course
Walking
NNAS Personal Navigation Skills Training & Assessment at Bronze Level
NNAS Personal Navigation Skills Training & Assessment at Silver Level
Level 3 Award in Basic Expedition Leaders (BEL) Training
Level 3 Award in Basic Expedition Leaders (BEL) Assessment
First Aid
Level 2 Qualification in Activity First Aid
Level 2 Award in Emergency CPR & AED
Course fee of £1600 per person includes the following:
Training from qualified and experienced staff
Cost of all entry fees
Registration of all NGB Qualifications
One years membership of the BMC & MLTA
Logbooks/Certificates
CRB Check
Self-Catering Accommodation including meals
A total of 160 hours contact time is given to this course and we operate on a ratio of 1:6 maximum, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to develop through the programme.
Participants must be aged 17 years + to join the course and must be aged 18 years + to undertake their BEL assessment, this can be undertaken at a later date at no additional cost.
